Jamie Xiong-Vang is a native of the Central Valley and grew up in Fresno, CA. She graduated from Edison High School and attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with an emphasis in American Politics. For law school, she attended Whittier Law School where she obtained her Juris Doctor with a Certificate in Criminal Law. Since being admitted to the practice of law, she has worked with Central California Legal Services as the Managing Attorney for its Merced office as well as the Supervising Attorney for the Voluntary Legal Services Program. She has also worked for the Fresno County Public Defender’s Office as a criminal defense attorney.
In addition to her law practice, she is very involved in the community because she believes in giving back to her community. To that end, she works on many pro bono cases each year. She also currently sits on the following Boards:

She and her husband of 17 years have two teenage boys and one small 2-year-old daughter.
